Qualitative Content Analysis of Vision Statement: Comparing Commercial Banks of Four Islamic Countries

Abstract
Objective: The vision is a very basic tool that creates the necessary conditions for increasing efficiency of the organization in the long term, and it cannot be separated from the company's strategies; Therefore, identifying the vision elements is very important. Considering the current situation of our country, one of the sensitive industries in the field of future directions is the banking industry, for this purpose, in this research, the main direction of the outlook in Iran and three selected Islamic countries (Turkey, Saudi Arabia, and Malaysia) has been paid.
Method: research community is only banks active in the retail sector (excluding banks: investment and specialized banks such as agriculture, industry, and mining, etc.), both public and private in 4 countries of Iran, Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, and Turkey, which are judged has been selected. The current research method is based on the qualitative analysis process, in this research, the traditional content analysis approach has been used, and an applicability index has been used to validate the research.
Results: Finally, based on the summation of the conducted research and the examination of selected banks, 4 categories of perspectives were identified, which included functionalism, emotionalism, socialism, and ideological perspectives.
Conclusions: The results showed that based on the output from the above graph, Malaysia and Iran had the highest percentage in the differentiation dimension, Turkey and Iran in the customer dimension, Saudi Arabia and Turkey in the nationalism dimension, and finally Malaysia and Saudi Arabia in the socially oriented dimension highest percentage of dispersion among the selected retail banks were selected.
